Spectral Souls – PSP Game

A tactical role-playing game for the PlayStation Portable, part of the Spectral series. Battles play out on maps where you position a party of characters and take turns issuing commands, choosing between movement, physical attacks, magic and items, with terrain and positioning affecting how encounters unfold. Combat uses a turn order system in which action timing matters, and characters gain levels, equipment and abilities as the campaign progresses. The story concerns a continent divided by war between rival nations and races, and it is told from more than one perspective, so events can be followed from different sides of the conflict. Presentation combines hand-drawn character art and dialogue scenes with sprite-based battle maps. Expect a long, text-heavy campaign with a large cast and numerous battles rather than exploration or action gameplay.
