Star Wars Battlefront – PS2 Game

A team-based shooter for the PlayStation 2 that recreates Star Wars battles on a large scale. You fight as an ordinary soldier rather than a hero, choosing from infantry classes such as basic troopers, heavy weapons specialists, snipers and pilots, each with different loadouts. Matches are built around capturing and holding command posts across maps drawn from planets in the films, with dozens of AI soldiers on both sides filling out the battlefield. Vehicles are a major element: you can take control of speeders, walkers, tanks and turrets found around the maps. Modes include instant action skirmishes, campaign missions covering both the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War, and Galactic Conquest, where you move fleets across a map of planets and fight for territory. Split-screen play is supported.
