Super Monaco GP II is a Formula One-style racing game for the Sega Master System. You race single-seater cars on circuits from behind-the-car view, managing acceleration, braking and gear changes as you work through a season of grand prix events. Qualifying determines your position on the starting grid, and finishing well in each race earns points toward the championship standings. Handling rewards smooth cornering lines and careful use of the brakes, since running wide or clipping rivals costs you speed and places. The presentation uses scaling roadside scenery and trackside crowds to convey speed on Master System hardware, with a status display showing lap times, position and gear. A password-style continuation between events lets you pick up a campaign in progress rather than starting the season over.
