Task Force Harrier – Sega Genesis Game

Task Force Harrier is a vertically scrolling shoot-’em-up in which you pilot a Harrier jump jet over battlefields, coastlines and enemy installations. The screen scrolls upward continuously while waves of aircraft, tanks, gun emplacements and ships attack from all sides, and each stage builds to a larger boss encounter. Shooting down certain enemies releases power-ups that upgrade your main weapon and add support options, letting you build up firepower over the course of a run before a hit knocks you back down. The design mixes air and ground targets, so you are dealing with fast-moving fighters and static defences at the same time. It is a straightforward arcade-style shooter for the Genesis, based on quick reflexes, pattern recognition and careful positioning.
