The Crow City of Angels – PS1 Game

The Crow: City of Angels is an action game for the original PlayStation, tied to the film sequel of the same name. You control the resurrected protagonist as he moves through grim, night-time city environments, working through a story of revenge against the people responsible for his death. Play mixes hand-to-hand combat against groups of thugs with platforming and exploration, as you search out routes through streets, rooftops and interiors. Enemies are fought with punches, kicks and weapons picked up along the way, and levels are built around reaching a target at the end of each stage. The presentation leans on the dark, rain-soaked visual style of the films, with a soundtrack and cutscenes supporting the story. Movement and camera work reflect early PlayStation-era 3D action design.
