The Duel Test Drive II – Sega Genesis Game

The Duel: Test Drive II is a driving game for the Sega Genesis in which you race exotic sports cars along public roads rather than closed circuits. Courses run point to point through scenery such as mountain passes and coastal highways, and the roads are shared with oncoming and slower traffic, so overtaking safely is part of the challenge. Police patrol the route and will pursue you if you speed past them. You drive from a behind-the-car view, watching the speedometer and tachometer while shifting through the gears, with manual transmission and a stick shift adding to the driving. Crashing into traffic or scenery ends a run. The core of the game is the duel itself: a head-to-head contest against a rival car over a series of stages, with time limits to beat along the way.
