The Grinch – Sega Dreamcast Game

The Dreamcast version of the Grinch action platformer, based on the Dr. Seuss character. You control the Grinch in 3D environments in and around Whoville, sneaking past the Whos, collecting the parts and ingredients scattered through each area, and using them to build gadgets and vehicles for further mischief. Play is a mix of platforming, item hunting and light stealth, with objectives spelled out for each level so you know what you are looking for. Max the dog features alongside the Grinch, and the game’s snowy Christmas settings and cartoon tone follow the source material. The Dreamcast release benefits from the console’s sharper visuals compared with earlier hardware, but the structure and content follow the same design.
