Virtua Racing – Sega Saturn Game

Virtua Racing on Sega Saturn is a home conversion of Sega’s polygonal arcade racer. You drive open-wheel Formula-style cars around 3D circuits, racing a field of computer-controlled opponents against a countdown timer that extends each time you pass a checkpoint. Transmission can be set to automatic or manual, and multiple camera angles are available, from a cockpit-level view to wider chase perspectives. The driving model rewards braking before corners and carrying speed through them cleanly, with lap and total times serving as the main measure of performance. Two-player split-screen racing is included alongside the single-player modes. Presentation uses flat-shaded and textured polygon graphics with roadside detail and trackside crowds, keeping the visual style of the arcade original.
