Woody Woodpecker

Woody Woodpecker: Escape From Buzz Buzzard Park is a 3D platformer for PlayStation 2 starring the Walter Lantz cartoon woodpecker. You guide Woody through themed areas built around an amusement park setting, running, jumping and climbing between platforms while dealing with enemies and hazards. Progress involves collecting items scattered through each stage and completing objectives that open the way forward, with Buzz Buzzard cast as the antagonist behind Woody’s predicament. Controls follow the standard template for the genre: free movement in three dimensions, a camera you can adjust, and attacks based on Woody’s beak. Cartoon visuals, slapstick animation and voice clips carry the licensed presentation, and the difficulty is pitched toward younger players and newcomers to 3D platforming.
