WRC

WRC: World Rally Championship brings officially licensed rally competition to PlayStation 2. You drive licensed cars and teams through point-to-point special stages, racing against the clock rather than wheel-to-wheel with a pack of rivals. A co-driver calls pace notes ahead of each corner, crest and hazard, so listening and reacting is as important as raw speed. Surfaces change from tarmac to gravel, dirt and snow, and each demands a different approach to braking and cornering. Alongside a full championship season you can run single stages and time trials to learn routes and shave seconds. Damage carries consequences, encouraging you to balance pace against finishing the stage intact. Handling leans toward simulation, with weight transfer and loose surfaces playing a large role in how the car behaves.
