WWF Betrayal – Gameboy Color Game

WWF Betrayal is a Game Boy Color title that steps away from the ring and into a side-scrolling beat ’em up. You choose from a small group of World Wrestling Federation superstars and fight through stages of enemies, using punches, kicks, grapples and wrestling-style attacks as you move from left to right. The story sends you on a rescue mission after Stephanie McMahon is kidnapped, with each stage ending in a confrontation against a tougher opponent. Enemies come in waves and can be thrown or slammed as well as struck, and health pickups appear along the way. The game uses sprite-based graphics and short level structures suited to portable play, presenting WWF characters in an action game format rather than a match-based wrestling simulation.
