WWF Superstars – Gameboy Game

WWF Superstars is a handheld wrestling game for the Game Boy using the World Wrestling Federation license. Matches take place in a side-on view of the ring, in monochrome, with a control scheme built around punches, kicks, running attacks and grapples that lead into throws and slams. You choose a wrestler from a roster of WWF performers and work through opponents toward a championship, with matches decided by pinfall after enough damage has been dealt. Brawling outside the ropes is possible while the referee counts, and each wrestler has moves that reflect their television character. The small screen keeps the action simple and readable, and the game suits short sessions on the handheld rather than long simulation-style bouts.
