The GameCube release of this 3D action-adventure, played with a standard controller. Link is a villager from Ordon who becomes involved in a crisis as a shadowy realm spreads over Hyrule. Within areas covered by twilight he takes the form of a wolf, using scent tracking, digging and a distinct set of moves, and he is accompanied throughout by Midna. In human form you use the sword, shield and items such as the bow, boomerang, clawshot and iron boots to solve dungeon puzzles and fight. Horseback combat on Epona features in several encounters, and hidden skills learned during the game expand your sword techniques. The overworld connects fields, villages, mountains and lakes, with side activities and collectables scattered between the main dungeons.
