This is an official control pad for the Sega Genesis. It is a wired gamepad with a rounded, wing-shaped body, a directional pad on the left and action buttons on the right, plus a Start button in the centre. Sega shipped two main designs for the system: a three-button pad with A, B and C, and a later six-button pad that adds X, Y and Z along with a Mode button used for compatibility with older software. The connector is a nine-pin plug that fits the controller ports on the front of the console. The same port standard is used by other Sega peripherals of the period, so these pads are also compatible with a range of Genesis and Mega Drive hardware.
This is an authentic original accessory — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships.
