The Wii Remote is the primary controller for the Nintendo Wii, and it also works with the Wii U for games and software that support it. Held in one hand like a wand, it uses motion sensing along with an infrared pointer that lets you aim directly at the screen for menus, cursors and aiming-based games. The face has a D-pad, A button, Home and system buttons, with a B trigger underneath. A built-in speaker produces sound effects, and rumble feedback is included. The expansion port on the base accepts add-on controllers such as the Nunchuk and Classic Controller, and a wrist strap loop is fitted to the bottom. It connects wirelessly and runs on AA batteries. This is the standard white version of the controller.
