Sonic Boom

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal is a side-scrolling platformer for Nintendo 3DS using the Sonic Boom versions of the characters. You control a small group, switching between them mid-stage to use their individual abilities: Sonic’s speed, Tails’ gadgets, Knuckles’ digging and burrowing, and Sticks’ boomerang for hitting distant switches. Levels are built for exploration as much as forward momentum, with branching routes, hidden collectibles and blueprint pieces that unlock further content. The Enerbeam tether is used to swing across gaps and interact with certain objects. Progress through the world map is gated by items found in earlier stages, encouraging replays. Additional challenge stages and a rival race mode appear alongside the main levels.
