Gex – PlayStation

Gex is a PlayStation platformer starring the wisecracking gecko mascot from Crystal Dynamics. The game sends Gex into the Media Dimension, a spoof-filled world of TV and movie-inspired stages.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. The disc play surface is in nice condition.
• Side-scrolling platforming uses Gex’s tail attacks and suction-cup climbing to move through themed worlds.
• Dana Gould provides more than 300 one-liners and sound effects for Gex’s comedy-heavy presentation.
• The main objective centers on destroying TVs in each world to escape the Media Dimension.
• Featured awards noted for the game include Electronic Gaming Monthly’s Editors’ Choice Gold Award and GameFan’s Character of the Year.

The Media Dimension setting gives this entry its mix of platforming, parody, and mascot-era attitude. Gex later continued as a series with follow-up titles including Gex: Enter the Gecko.
