Faxanadu – NES

Faxanadu is a Nintendo Entertainment System action-adventure game set around the ancient elf town of Eolis. The journey sends the hero beyond the town walls and onto the World Tree, where monsters, fortresses, magic, and hidden dangers shape the adventure.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge.
• Side-scrolling action-adventure gameplay blends sword combat, exploration, item use, and magic.
• The story centers on saving Eolis as its water supply runs out and poison makes the remaining water undrinkable.
• Merchants sell magic and valuable tools, adding resource choices alongside combat and exploration.
• Secret mantras function as password-style codes, allowing progress to resume with tools and magic intact.
• Named elements include daggers, wingboots, monsters, fortresses, and the World Tree setting.

Faxanadu connects fantasy quest structure with town-to-fortress progression across the World Tree. Its password mantra system is a distinctly NES-era way to preserve advancement through a longer adventure.
