Silent Service – NES

Silent Service is an NES submarine simulation game from Ultra Games. Set during World War II sea patrols in the South Pacific, it focuses on command decisions, navigation, and combat beneath enemy waters.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge.
• Submarine simulation gameplay centers on finding hostile convoys, chasing targets, and sinking enemy ships.
• Players manage instruments, charts, periscope views, gauges, torpedoes, and deck guns during patrols.
• Combat scenarios include nighttime surface attacks, destroyer escorts, depth charges, and troop transport targets.
• Midway Island practice sequences provide torpedo and gunnery training outside the main patrol danger.

The game’s structure emphasizes tactical risk, with limited steel, limited weapons, and enemy anti-submarine pressure shaping each patrol. Its World War II South Pacific setting gives the NES library a more simulation-focused naval combat entry.
