3D WorldRunner – NES Game

3D WorldRunner is an action game for the Nintendo Entertainment System played from a behind-the-back perspective, with the screen scrolling forward continuously. You run your character ahead across floating terrain, steering left and right between obstacles and enemies while timing jumps over the gaps that split the ground. Falling into a chasm costs you a life, so reading the layout ahead and controlling your speed matters as much as reacting to hazards. You can fire shots at creatures blocking your path, and items scattered through the stages help you deal with what’s coming. The game includes an anaglyph 3D display mode intended for use with red-and-blue glasses, which changes how the depth of the running field is presented. Stages end in boss encounters.
