A Nightmare on Elm Street – NES Game

A Nightmare on Elm Street on the NES is a side-scrolling action game built around the horror film series. You control a teenager exploring the houses and streets of Elm Street, walking, jumping and fighting off skeletons, bats and other creatures while searching out Freddy Krueger’s scattered bones to destroy them. A sleep meter runs down as you play; let it empty and the stage shifts into a dream world where enemies change and the danger increases, while collecting items can wake you back up. Picking up certain power-ups transforms your character into different forms with their own attacks. The game supports multiple players simultaneously on the same screen when used with the NES Four Score or Satellite adapter.
