Addams Family: Pugsley’s Scavenger Hunt is a side-scrolling platformer for the NES, based on the animated Addams Family series. You play as Pugsley, making your way through stages set across the family mansion and grounds while gathering the items needed to complete his scavenger hunt. The core moves are running, jumping and bouncing on enemies, supported by throwable items and pickups that restore health or add lives. Areas are themed around different parts of the Addams property, each holding hazards, enemies drawn from the show’s world, and a goal item to recover. Hidden passages and off-path rooms hold extra supplies for players who search. The game uses bright cartoon-style sprites and progresses through a fixed sequence of levels rather than a connected open map.
