Addams Family – NES Game

The Addams Family on the NES is a side-scrolling platformer built around exploring the family mansion. You play as Gomez Addams, moving between rooms and outdoor areas of a large interconnected map in search of the relatives who have gone missing. The mansion acts as a central hub, with doors leading to themed stages such as cellars, kitchens, attics and the grounds outside. Gomez jumps on enemies to defeat them and can pick up thrown weapons and items that extend his abilities, along with hearts that restore health and hidden rooms containing extra lives. Bosses guard the areas where family members are held. Progress relies on mapping the house and finding routes past hazards, and the game keeps the cartoonish visual style of the licence.
