Bad News Baseball – NES Game

Bad News Baseball is a baseball game for the Nintendo Entertainment System with a cartoon presentation and arcade-leaning play. Games are viewed from behind the pitcher, and pitching and batting are handled with simple controls, while fielding switches between players as the ball is put in play. What sets it apart from more straightforward NES baseball titles is its animated style: characters are drawn with big-headed anime proportions, and close-up cut scenes play out for events like strikeouts, home runs, and arguments on the field, often with comic reactions. You choose from fictional teams and can play against the computer or a second player. It is a lighter, humor-forward take on the sport rather than a statistics-driven simulation.
