Captain Silver – Sega Master System Game

A side-scrolling action game with a pirate setting, converted to the Master System from the arcade original. You control a young adventurer searching for the treasure associated with Captain Silver, fighting through harbour towns, ships, caves, and other locations. Combat is handled with a sword, and defeated enemies drop items and coins that can be used to upgrade your weapon and abilities as you progress, so staying alive long enough to build up equipment matters. Enemies include pirates and supernatural creatures, and stages end with tougher opponents blocking the route forward. Movement is limited to walking, jumping, and attacking, with the challenge coming from crowded screens and the loss of accumulated upgrades when you are defeated.
