Days Of Thunder – NES Game

Days of Thunder is an NES racing game built around stock car competition, taking its name and setting from the motor racing film. You drive on oval circuits, managing your car through the field of rivals and dealing with the traffic and crashes that come with pack racing. Alongside the driving itself, the game handles the practical side of running a car, so keeping the vehicle in condition and making pit decisions factor into how a race goes rather than pure speed alone. Play is single-player, viewed from behind the car as you work through events. It is a fairly typical example of late-era NES licensed sports and racing software, aimed at players who want oval racing rather than road courses.
