Gangster Town – Sega Master System Game

Gangster Town is a light gun shooting game for the Sega Master System, built around the Light Phaser peripheral. It takes a Prohibition-era crime setting: you aim at the screen to shoot gangsters as they appear from windows, doorways, alleys and passing cars, while avoiding civilians who wander into view. Stages move through city streets and other locations, with sections that put you in a car pursuit as well as static shootouts, and enemies fire back if you are too slow to react. Ammunition and lives are limited, so accuracy is rewarded and stray shots at bystanders are penalised. Two players can take turns, and the game keeps score for the shooting. The cartoon-styled graphics keep the tone light rather than gritty, in line with other Light Phaser titles on the system.
