Gyromite – NES Game

Gyromite is a puzzle-action game for the Nintendo Entertainment System designed for use with R.O.B., the Robotic Operating Buddy. You guide Professor Hector through side-scrolling laboratory levels filled with dynamite to collect and sleeping creatures called Smicks that will harm him if he touches them while they are awake. Hector cannot pass through the coloured pillars blocking his path on his own; raising and lowering them is handled by inputs from the second controller, which R.O.B. operates by placing spinning gyros onto switches. The game can also be played by using a standard second controller directly. A second mode has you controlling two professors, switching between them to clear a path through the stage.
