Home Alone – NES Game

Home Alone on the NES puts you in control of Kevin McCallister as he defends his house from two burglars. The house is shown as a cutaway of connected rooms and floors linked by stairs and laundry chutes, and you run through it collecting items and setting traps in the burglars’ path. The goal is to keep away from the intruders long enough for help to arrive, luring them into hazards to buy time whenever they close in. Getting caught costs you progress, so success depends on learning the layout and planning escape routes ahead of time. It is a simple, single-screen-per-room chase game built around the film’s premise rather than a platformer with distinct levels.
