Ice Hockey – NES Game

Ice Hockey is a hockey game for the Nintendo Entertainment System played with four skaters and a goalie per side. Before a match you build your team by choosing among three player body types, each with different trade-offs: light skaters are fast but weak, heavy skaters are slow but strong in collisions and shots, and the medium build sits between them. Games are played on a top-down rink with face-offs, passing, checking, and shooting, and fights break out when players collide hard enough, sending someone to the penalty box. You select from national teams and can adjust period length. There is a two-player mode for head-to-head matches. Controls are simple, with the emphasis on positioning, timing your shots, and picking a team composition that suits your style.
