Adventure Island 3 – NES Game

A side-scrolling platformer for the Nintendo Entertainment System and part of Hudson’s Adventure Island series. You play as Master Higgins, running and jumping through jungle, cave, underwater and volcanic stages while a vitality meter steadily drains, forcing you to collect fruit to survive. Enemies and hazards kill in one hit unless you are protected. Eggs hidden in each stage hold weapons such as thrown axes and boomerangs, and dinosaur companions that Higgins can ride, each with a different ability such as breathing fire, swimming, or striking with its tail. A world map lets you choose between islands and stages, and each area closes with a boss fight. Skateboards return as a way to move quickly at the cost of control.
