Lagoon – SNES Game

Lagoon is an action RPG for the Super Nintendo. You explore towns, caves and dungeons from an overhead perspective, fighting monsters in real time by swinging your sword as they approach rather than through turn-based menus. Defeating enemies earns experience and gold, which go toward levels, better weapons and armour bought from shops. Magic spells add ranged and support options, and townspeople provide hints that direct you toward the next objective. The story follows a young swordsman investigating water that has turned foul across the land, taking him through a sequence of dungeons filled with locked doors, keys and bosses. Combat requires standing close to enemies and timing strikes carefully, and healing items and inns matter as much as stat growth.
