Mickey Mania – SNES Game

Mickey Mania on the Super Nintendo is a side-scrolling platformer that moves Mickey Mouse through stages modelled on his classic cartoons. The opening level is presented in black and white to echo his earliest appearances, and later stages shift style to match shorts set in a haunted house, a snowy forest, a giant’s castle and other locations. Mickey’s moves are simple: run, jump, bounce on foes from above, and throw marbles at enemies at range. Stages are broken up with chase sections, moving platforms and scripted set pieces, and end in boss fights or escapes. You work with a limited supply of health and lives, so progress comes from learning enemy placement and timing jumps through the more demanding stretches.
