Mutant Virus – NES Game

Mutant Virus is an action-puzzle game for the NES in which you pilot a small craft inside a computer system that has been infected by a spreading virus. Each stage is a maze-like network viewed from above, and the virus grows and multiplies through it in real time. You fire at the virus cells to destroy them, but shots and movement are limited by the space around you, so the challenge lies in choosing where to attack before the infection blocks your route or overwhelms the level. Clearing the required amount of virus opens the way to the next stage, with layouts becoming tighter and the spread faster. The pace is quick and the emphasis is on reading the board and reacting rather than on precision shooting alone.
