NHL 94 – SNES Game

NHL ’94 on the Super Nintendo is the SNES version of that year’s licensed hockey game, with real NHL teams and players. Games are played five-on-five from an angled overhead camera, and the controls emphasize quick passing, checking and shooting, including one-time shots struck off a pass. Faceoffs, penalties, power plays and goalie control are all included, and rule settings such as period length and penalty strictness can be adjusted before a match. You can play exhibition games or work through a playoff bracket, and a second controller lets two players face each other. Presentation features arena crowd audio, a goal celebration and statistics between periods. Play stays fast and direct, with a short learning curve for the basic passing and shooting controls.
