Ninja Crusaders – NES Game

Ninja Crusaders is a side-scrolling action game for the NES. You fight through stages as a ninja, using melee and thrown attacks against waves of enemies and mechanical bosses. Power-ups swap your weapon between different options such as a blade, a chain and a claw, each with its own reach and attack pattern, and you can also transform into animal forms with distinct abilities. Levels run horizontally and vertically through ruined cities, caverns and enemy strongholds, with plenty of jumping between platforms while enemies close in from both sides. Two players can take part in simultaneous co-operative play. Health is limited and enemies come in steady numbers, so the game leans on learning attack patterns and choosing the right weapon for each situation.
