Secret of Evermore – SNES Game

Secret of Evermore is an action RPG for the Super Nintendo. You play as a boy who, with his dog, is pulled into a strange world assembled from different settings, travelling through prehistoric jungle, an ancient desert city, a medieval region, and a futuristic zone. Combat happens in real time on the field map, with weapon attacks that grow stronger as you use them and a charge system for heavier strikes. Instead of standard magic, the game uses alchemy: you gather ingredients found in the world and combine them into formulas for offensive spells, healing, and support effects, with each formula levelling up through repeated casting. Your dog fights alongside you, changes appearance to match each region, and can sniff out items. You can switch control between the boy and the dog during play.
