Yoshi’s Cookie – Gameboy Game

Yoshi’s Cookie is a puzzle game for the Game Boy. Cookies of several different shapes fill a rectangular grid, and instead of dropping pieces you slide entire rows and columns, wrapping them around the playfield. Lining up a complete row or column of matching cookies clears it, and new cookies push in from the edges as you play, so the board is always tightening. Yoshi cookies act as wildcards that can trigger larger chain clears. The main mode escalates in speed and pressure over successive rounds, and there is a versus mode where clearing cookies sends trouble to your opponent. A puzzle mode presents fixed board layouts that must be solved within a limited number of moves.
