Aladdin – Gameboy Game

Aladdin on Game Boy is a side-scrolling platformer based on the Disney film. You guide Aladdin through stages set in and around Agrabah, the Cave of Wonders and the Sultan’s palace, running, jumping and climbing across ledges, ropes and hazards. Aladdin fights with a scimitar for close attacks and throws apples at enemies from a distance, and he can hang from poles and swing across gaps. Guards, snakes and other obstacles patrol the routes, and collectibles such as gems are scattered through the levels. Scenes from the story are woven between stages, including a chase away from the collapsing cave. The monochrome presentation scales the movie’s settings down to the handheld, keeping the animated character movement and the run-and-jump structure of the console versions.
