4 Wheel Thunder – Sega Dreamcast Game

4 Wheel Thunder is an off-road racing game for the Sega Dreamcast built around big-wheeled trucks. Handling is arcade-flavoured rather than simulation-focused, with heavy suspension that soaks up landings and lets you take jumps and rough terrain at speed. Courses run through dirt, mud, water and other uneven surfaces, and the trucks pitch and roll as the ground changes underneath them, so keeping the vehicle straight through bumps and drops is part of the challenge. You race against a field of rival trucks, with the layouts encouraging aggressive lines and airtime. The game includes single-player racing along with split-screen play so a second person can join at the same console. Vehicles are selected from a roster before each event.
