6-Pak – Sega Genesis Game

6-Pak is a Sega Genesis compilation cartridge that puts six previously released Sega games on a single menu. The line-up covers a spread of genres: Sonic the Hedgehog for high-speed platforming, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage for side-scrolling brawling, The Revenge of Shinobi for ninja action platforming, Columns for falling-block puzzling, and Super Hang-On for arcade motorcycle racing. Each title plays as it did in its original release, selected from a simple front-end screen. Because the collection mixes single-player action with the two-player co-operative beat-’em-ups and the head-to-head puzzle mode in Columns, it works both as a solo cartridge and as something to bring out with a second controller. It is a straightforward way to keep several Genesis staples in one slot.
