Advent Rising – Xbox Game

A science-fiction third-person action game for the original Xbox. You play as a human caught up in a conflict between humanity and an alien force, moving through corridors, alien environments and open areas while the story unfolds in cutscenes between chapters. Combat begins with conventional firearms, including the option to carry a weapon in each hand and target enemies independently, and expands as the protagonist awakens psychic abilities used to lift, throw and blast opponents. Powers grow stronger the more you use them, encouraging you to mix telekinetic attacks with gunfire rather than relying on one approach. Sections of the game place you behind vehicle controls, and the plot is presented as part of a larger intended series.
