Airblade – PS2 Game

Airblade is an extreme sports game for the PlayStation 2 built around a futuristic hoverboard rather than a skateboard. You ride through 3D urban environments, linking jumps, grabs, flips and grinds into combos while building up score, and the board’s hovering movement allows lines that a wheeled board could not take. Levels are open areas to be learned and exploited, with objectives and goals to complete alongside free skating, plus a story thread that frames the runs. Trick controls follow the button-and-direction combinations familiar from the era’s skating games, with balance and landing timing determining whether a combo scores or is dropped. Character progression and unlockable content are tied to meeting objectives across the game’s environments.
