Alien Storm – Sega Genesis Game

Alien Storm is a side-scrolling action game for the Sega Genesis, converted from Sega’s arcade original. You choose one of three members of an alien-fighting squad: two humans with energy weapons and a robot, each handling slightly differently. Stages move through city streets, shopping centres and alien interiors as you shoot and melee your way past creatures that disguise themselves as everyday objects before attacking. Between the standard scrolling levels the game switches formats, including first-person shooting-gallery sections where you fire at targets on screen and running sequences played from behind the character. Energy doubles as both health and ammunition, so powerful attacks and screen-clearing specials come at a cost. Two players can play together simultaneously, and the game keeps a brisk arcade pace throughout.
