All-Star Baseball 2001 – Gameboy Color Game

All-Star Baseball 2001 brings the series’ licensed Major League Baseball action to Game Boy Color. You take control of big league clubs and their rosters, playing out games from a scaled-down overhead-and-behind view built for the handheld’s small screen. Batting comes down to timing your swing and placing your hit, while pitching lets you pick from a selection of deliveries and aim your location before the throw. Fielding and baserunning are handled with the system’s limited button set, so plays resolve quickly. Alongside single games you can settle into longer play through the game’s season options and track results as you go. It is a compact version of a console baseball simulation, trading visual detail for portability while keeping the sport’s core pitcher-versus-batter exchange intact.
