Alter Echo – Xbox Game

Alter Echo is a third-person action game starring Nevin, a technician bonded to a substance called Plast. The bond allows him to change combat forms during play, swapping between a close-range blade configuration, a ranged shooting configuration, and a stealth form that can slow time to slip past hazards and enemies. Fights are built around picking the right form and chaining attacks, with time manipulation used both offensively and to navigate. Levels are stylised and vividly coloured, and moving through them involves using the shifting abilities to open routes and solve movement-based puzzles. Cutscenes carry the story of the Plast’s corruption and Nevin’s part in it. This is the original Xbox version, played with the standard controller and single-player only, with saves kept on the console’s hard drive.
