Altered Beast – Sega Genesis

Altered Beast is a Sega Genesis fighting game built around mythological side-scrolling combat. The game follows a warrior summoned by Zeus to rescue Athena, using beast transformations to battle through the Underworld.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. Authentic cartridge.
• Side-scrolling fighting action centers on close-range attacks, supernatural powers, and enemy waves across dangerous mythic stages.
• Spirit Balls power up the hero and trigger transformations into stronger creature forms.
• The first level features a Werewolf form with claw attacks and fireball-throwing abilities.
• Later stages include WereDragon, Werebear, Weretiger, and Golden Werewolf transformations.
• Named enemies and settings include the followers of Neff, deep caverns, and the gates of the Underworld fortress.

Altered Beast was part of the early 16-bit Sega Genesis library and is closely tied to the system’s arcade-style action identity. Its transformation mechanic gives each stage a distinct creature form and attack style.
