Ape Escape 2 – PS2 Game

Ape Escape 2 is a 3D platformer for PlayStation 2 in which you chase down monkeys that have escaped and scattered across a variety of themed stages. Control is built around the dual analog sticks: the left stick moves your character while the right stick swings and aims your gadgets. Your toolkit includes a net for capturing monkeys, a stun club for knocking them off balance, and other devices used both for catching apes and for solving traversal problems, such as crossing water or reaching higher ground. Each monkey wears a light on its helmet that signals its alertness, so approach and timing matter as much as reflexes. Levels hide monkeys in out-of-the-way corners, encouraging you to revisit areas once new gadgets are available, and minigames break up the main hunt.
