Ape Escape On the Loose – PSP Game

Ape Escape: On the Loose is a PlayStation Portable version of the original Ape Escape, a 3D platformer about hunting down monkeys who have been scattered through time. You travel between stages set in prehistoric, historical and futuristic environments, using a net to capture apes and a growing set of gadgets to fight, move and reach hidden areas. Because the PSP has a single analog nub, gadget control is remapped to the face buttons rather than the second stick used in the PlayStation original. Each monkey has a helmet light showing whether it has spotted you, so sneaking up and cornering runners is part of the challenge. Stages hold more monkeys than you need to progress, so replaying earlier areas with new equipment is part of the structure, alongside minigames.
