Common Signs This Part Needs Replacing
This ribbon is the only connection between the Taptic Engine and the main board, so a damaged ribbon can look exactly like a bad Taptic Engine. Common signs this part needs replacing include no vibration or haptic feedback at all, weak or inconsistent tapping, haptics that work intermittently or only when the watch is pressed a certain way, or a visibly creased, torn, or kinked ribbon cable.
What’s Included
- 1 x Apple Watch Ultra Taptic to Main PCB Ribbon
Installation Notes
No soldering required. This ribbon connects to the Taptic Engine and the main logic board using flex connectors. Handle the ribbon carefully during removal and installation to avoid creasing or tearing it, and make sure each end is seated fully in its connector before closing the case. Fully power down the watch before beginning the swap.
